Deploy Dune Watchtower for Google Phish Reporting

Step-by-Step Deployment Instructions

  1. Visit the Dune Watchtower Marketplace Link:

  2. Admin Install:

    • Click on Admin Install.
    • You will see the following screen: 

  3. Continue Installation:

    • Click on Continue.

  4. Select Installation Scope:

    • Choose to install for either:
      • All groups and members of your organization, or
      • A specific group.

  5. Select Groups (If Applicable):

    • If you chose to install for a specific group, select the groups you want to include.

  6. Complete Installation:

    • After selecting the groups, click on Install.

After Deployment

  • User enablement:

    1. To complete the deployment, your users need to accept the Dune Watchtower email browser extension. Here’s how they can do it:

      • Open the Dune Watchtower Plugin:

        • Locate and click on the Dune Watchtower plugin in the right-hand sidebar of their Gmail interface.

      • Authorize Access:

        • Click on "Authorize access," which will trigger a popup window.

      • Sign In and Grant Permissions:

        • In the popup window, sign in to Gmail and click "Allow" when prompted to grant the necessary permissions
    2. Users will also be assigned a training video on utilizing Dune Watchtower through Dune Security's platform, which will guide them through deployment and how to use the button to report suspicious emails.

  • Integration:

    • Once Dune Watchtower is deployed, it integrates seamlessly with your Gmail environment, providing enhanced monitoring and threat detection capabilities.

  • Functionality:

    • Dune Watchtower will enable users to report suspicious emails in seconds.
